Overview

Dayara Bugyal Trek is often placed at the top position only to be hotly contested and pushed to the next best. But there is no debate amongst trekkers that Dayara Bugyal Trek would fall within the two most beautiful high altitude meadows in India. It is not difficult to see why. For hundred of years shepherds from far have been taking their flock to graze at Dayara. They have come back with stories of the abundance of grass and splendor of the mighty Himalayan mountain peaks cradling the meadows.

May — June (15C to 20C and night 7C to2C) Sept — Oct (15C to 10C and night 5C to -5C).

Pre Monsoon Season:— May first week to June end and post monsoon Season:- September 2nd week to Nov first week.


ITINERARY


DAY 1

DEHRADUN TO NATIN (8530 FT) (200 KM DRIVE)

Pick up from Dehradun Railway station at 7.30.a.m.
Drive to Raithal via Uttarkashi
Arrive at Natin village, a small village located 30 km above the city of Uttarkashi which serves as the starting point of the trek. Stay at the homestay in Natin.
A quick introduction & briefing session with the trek leader and fellow travelers.
Dinner and rest at the homestay.


DAY 2 


RAITHAL TO CHELAPADA( 9500 FT) VIA GUI (8 KM, 6-7 HOURS TREK)

The day will start with a group ice-breaking session and Breakfast will be served.
Afterward, we'll take an uphill short trek of 5 KM through the Oak Forest in order to reach Chelapada Campsite.
On arrival at Chelapada Campsite, Lunch will be served.
The lunch will be followed by an acclimatization walk and evening snacks will be served.
Overnight stay at camps.


DAY 3


CHELAPADA TO DAYARA BUGYAL TOP (12100 FT) BACK TO CHELAPADA (12 KM)

Post breakfast, we'll head out for trekking to Dayara Bugyal.
On arrival, we'll have a packed lunch at Dayara viewpoint.
After sightseeing, we'll descend back to the Chelapada campsite.
On arrival at Chelapada Campsite, we'll have dinner and end the day.


DAY 4


GUI TO DEHRADUN | DESCEND BACK TO DEHRADUN

Gui to Raithal, Drive to Dehradun, 235Km Drive.
Descend back to Raithal village from Gui after breakfast on a 5 km descend the trail.
A 235 km drive back to Dehradun from Raithal village passing through Uttarkashi.
Lunch and evening snacks during transport will be provided on the road side inns.
The expected time of arrival in Dehradun will be 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM . So you can plan your travel further accordingly.
